Support through the ups and downs of growing up
Growing up can bring many emotional challenges, from social pressures and identity struggles to anxiety, low mood, relationships, or difficulties at school or home. When we meet, my aim is for you to feel heard, understood, and able to be yourself.
Alongside my counselling work, I have experience supporting young people within school settings, including emotional wellbeing, neurodiversity, communication needs, and transitions.
Sessions might involve talking, reflection, creative activities, or simply having space to explore what is going on for you — whatever feels most comfortable. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself, make sense of your experiences, and begin to feel more confident in your everyday life.
Sessions might involve simply talking, or more creative activities, whatever feels right for you. This might mean drawing, games, or just having a chat. My goal is to create a safe space where you can be yourself and begin to discover ways to feel better and more confident in your day-to-day life.
Recognising that your child may need extra support can bring up a lot of different feelings. You’re not alone in this, and reaching out for help is an important step for both you and your child.
A Note For Parents and Carers
I work sensitively with parents and caregivers, offering a safe and understanding space where you can share your concerns, questions, and feelings. I keep sessions confidential to protect your child’s privacy and build trust. However, if I believe your child is at risk of harm, I have a duty to share information with the appropriate people to help keep them safe. Wherever possible, I will always discuss this with you and your child openly and carefully.
Together, we can navigate challenges and find ways to support your child and your family through this journey.
