At The Wright Space, I offer counselling that understands and celebrates neurodiversity. Over the last five years, I have worked alongside autistic individuals, people with ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, sensory processing differences, and other neurodivergent profiles. My experience spans educational and therapeutic settings, supporting children, young people, and adults to better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and recognise their strengths.

Living in a world designed around neurotypical ways of thinking and communicating can be exhausting. The effort of masking, sensory overwhelm, managing everyday tasks, or trying to navigate social expectations can take a significant amount of energy. In our sessions, you won’t need to justify your experiences or prove that they are valid. My approach is rooted in patience, empathy, and acceptance. You can show up as yourself, without needing to “perform” or fit into a particular way of being.

Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy

Working online means our sessions can happen wherever you feel most comfortable: your sofa, bedroom, your favourite quiet corner. You can bring a blanket, have your pet nearby, and wear your comfiest clothes.

This is not about changing who you are. It is about creating a space where you can understand yourself, explore challenges, and recognise the strengths that are already there.

Sessions can be flexible and adapted to what works best for you. We can slow things down, take pauses, break topics into smaller steps, or use different ways of communicating if that feels helpful.

What to expect

Self-understanding and identity: We can explore your experiences, understand your unique ways of thinking and processing the world, and build a stronger sense of self without focusing on changing who you are.

Comfortable communication: You do not need to force eye contact, sit still, or communicate in a particular way. We can use conversation, written notes in the chat box, visuals, or screen-sharing if helpful.

Sensory awareness: Online sessions allow you to have more control over your environment, including lighting, sound, and comfort.

Strengths-led support: We will explore challenges while also recognising your strengths, interests, and the things that make you who you are.
